August Christian Hunziker
August was born in Fribourg, Switzerland in 1914 and immigrated with his parents, August and Lina and two siblings, Hannah and Roger in the spring of 1917. They arrived at Ellis Island (Statue of Liberty), New York on the SS Chicago from the port of Bordeaux, France. They made their way to their sponsor's location of Montreal, Quebec. From there they travelled east with a short stop in Lac de Sil, Quebec, where Flora was born.
August married Florence Chirstenson on 28 May 1940 in Fredericton, NB, Canada.
